Security Solutions > Covert Technologies > Polarized Hidden Image Technology (PTEC)
PTEC features latent imaging which is a new technology based on the Radiation Chemistry of Polymers. A unique chemical and radiation treatment creates latent images in transparent polymer films. These images remain completely invisible to the naked eye, until viewed through a standard polarizer. The effect is based on deep changes in the macromolecular structure of certain groups of polymers, due to chemical, radiation and thermal processes. The high-resolution images are highly stable, non-degradable and impossible to imitate or falsify. Therefore, these high-resolution images are ideal for use in authenticating a wide range of original products that are the target for imitation. These images, provided on stickers, tags and labels, and can be applied to a large variety of products. The technology can be integrated with other protective means or serve as a stand alone counterfeit-proof tool.
