H.W. Sands Security/Optaglio production is devoted to development and manufacturing of top holographic and optical elements serving as the protection against counterfeiting. Laminated Foils (transparent foils used for lamination of printed matter and plastic cards; special foil for protection of passports data page - H-Pro®; foils containing microparticles OVDot®) Holographic Hot Stamping Foils This foil is determined for the machine application to role on sheet of paper or plastic. It is applied under increased temperature and pressure (so called hot stamping). During application, the inseparable compression of holographic hotstamping foil and the base material (paper, plastic, leather) occurs. Holographic foils can be distinguished according to: a. Graphic Motif A foil with registered hologram: An application of single motif (optical device or hologram creates single motif, to which a reading mark is placed) A foil with non-registered hologram: An optical device or hologram creates wallpaper motif (continuous design) b. Foil types: - A silver holographic foil - HRI holographic foil (high-refractive index) - transparent foil allows readabilty of informattion under the foil) - Partly metallized foil semitransoarent foil (allows for partial readability of information under the foil) - Scratch-off foil special multilayer opaque foil serving to cover important data. Data are visible only after scratching off the foil~ We supply the foils in rolls. The customer determines the width of foil, core, rewind code and the distance between individual holograms. Use: Application to various prints, plastic cards for: - Brand protection (labels for cosmetic, medicine, drugstore goods, alcohol, cigarettes, electronic) - Transport tickets (trains, busses, city transport) - Tickets (concerts, exhibitions) - Certificates of guarantee, certificates - Lottery coupons, coupons, meal tickets, money orders - Identification cards (passports, visa, ID cards, driver's licenses, entry passes) - Valuables - stocks, cheques, bonds, bank notes, bills of exchange We can offer special service for printing houses, where we can deliver paper in rolls or sheets with hologram for further print.
