Janus Effect® Inks were named after the Greek God with two faces.  The Janus Effect Inks display "two faces" when coated on cards.  With clear cards, the color appears differently depending on the color of the background.

The Janus Effect® Inks are unique in their physical appearance once printed.  As their name indicates, the Janus Effect® Inks show a 'Janus-faced' appearance dependig on the viewing angle of the Janus Effect® printed card.  The Janus Effect® Inks are available for applications on transparent or semi-transparent substrates.  These products provide a color shifting, glowing edge effect through different viewing angles, background colors or UV light.

The Janus Effect® Inks can greatly influence your ability to provide unique card designs to your customers.  When printed on transparent or semi-transparent substrates, cards printed witih these inks will be easily identified when light hits the surface of the card and the edge illuminates vibrantly!  Create multi-facetted card designs by using complimentary pearlescent inks or other decorative effect inks!  For use on clear transaction cards, the Janus Effect® Inks would need to be used in conjuction with our new generation translucent IR blocking inks because they do not have IR blocking capabilities.
